The Origin

An Observation Made Over Time.

Ulano Review began as a personal journalling practice. Marcus Chen, having spent several years navigating the men's supplement category — reading commercial product claims, cross-referencing with published research, and documenting the results over sustained periods — recognised a gap between what the editorial wellness space typically publishes and what the published nutritional literature actually supports.

The publication emerged from that gap. Its editorial purpose is not to sell supplements, endorse brands, or drive affiliate revenue. It is to document — carefully, with sources — what the published nutritional research says about the supplements that active men in Jakarta and Southeast Asia are most commonly incorporating into their daily routines.

The Approach

Evidence. Editorial. Independent.

Every article published by Ulano Review is reviewed by a second editor before publication. Sources are cited where peer-reviewed literature is available. Corrections are noted publicly when errors are identified. Writers disclose any commercial relationships that could influence their selection of subject matter.

The publication does not accept payment for editorial coverage. The supplement brands discussed in Ulano Review articles are chosen based on their presence in the published research literature, not on commercial arrangements.
